Back to NewsWA student wins Lockdown Gallery competition
Last term several Westminster Academy students entered a local art competition and we are delighted to announce that this was won by our former Year 11 student, Omar Popal.
Westminster Academy was invited to take part through community arts hub, Grand Junction. Their Lockdown Gallery offered a platform for young people of all ages to create artwork in response the lockdown, with the hashtag #LockDownCantStopUs. The result was a beautiful gallery of work created through various mediums – drawing, painting, animation, photography, spoken word, music, film or dance. We urge you to have a look at the other pieces on their website here. Grand Junction was extremely impressed with the quality of the entries, so congratulations to Omar and to all WA participants!
