Dr Wood appointed to fellowship of the Chartered College of Teaching

We are delighted to announce that Westminster Academy’s Principal, Dr Wood, has been made a fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching.

This prestigious category of membership recognises significant contributions to the teaching profession. Fellows must be nominated, and are required to hold high academic and educational oriented qualifications as well as having at least ten years of experience teaching at a senior level.

This makes for exciting times at Westminster Academy. The fellowship provides Dr Wood with the opportunity to influence and engage with education policy by joining discussions with All-Party Parliamentary Groups, which gives Westminster Academy a voice heard by those making recommendations at a system level. WA staff are also enjoying opportunities to develop professionally from the wide-ranging experience Dr Wood brings to the Academy.
