Westminster Academy ranked in top 50 schools in the country

Westminster Academy is today celebrating outstanding results that put the school in the top 50 in the country in GCSE tables published by the Department for Education.

The Academy’s results for “Progress 8”, which measures the improvement made by students between the age of 11 and 16 in key GCSE subjects, show that the school on average adds half a grade more per student than expected. Overall, Westminster Academy recorded a Progress 8 score of 0.68 (with 0.5 representing half a grade per student). The national average for Progress 8, as published in today’s DfE tables, is -0.03.

Dr Saima Rana, Principal of Westminster Academy, said, “We are thrilled to be ranked in the top 50 schools nationally. It is a wonderful tribute to our talented, dedicated teaching team, who are committed to helping every single one of our students achieve their potential from the very first day they start with us at age 11. We are proud to be able to add such value and help our students to have real choices for their futures.”
