Top British film director visits Westminster Academy

The Media department was thrilled to welcome British director, Tom Harper to the school recently to give a talk about his life and career as a film director to a packed out Green Room.

Tom Harper currently has hit film The Aeronauts in cinemas and has previously worked on the likes of Wild Rose, War and Peace and Peaky Blinders.

Henry Dodd, Year 13, said, "It was such an amazing experience listening to Tom talk about his inspiration, what it is like being a director and the challenges he faced. It was a fantastic experience."

Director of Learning for Enterprise, Mr Rahman, said, "Being able to welcome an up-and-coming UK director like Tom Harper to Westminster Academy was a hugely exciting and inspiring event for our students. It's so important they see the amazing potential of careers in the ever expanding Media industry and this type of event shows exactly that.”
