Cricket team crowned champion at Lord's

We came to Lord’s hoping to win, but not knowing what the final outcome would be.

We tried to have fun as well as win and after the first game it all just seemed to click. The first game was the most challenging and closest of them all. Having bowled pretty well we looked likely to win the game but it ended up coming down to the last 2 balls! After that we comprehensively beat Marylebone Boys and Pimlico Academy to come first in our group. This meant we’d go into the final and play the first place from the other group. In the final, we played Paddington Academy and the game went pretty well. They only scored 18 runs in 36 which meant that we needed to score 19 in 36 balls. We got a crushing win over them scoring almost double the runs and received shirts and certificates. We left, Lord’s smiles all round, feeling like a million dollars. That was a win never to forget.
