Life at Westminster Academy
Everyone gets scared when they start secondary school, but I perfectly remember my first day: staff and students made us feel very welcome and comfortable by being incredibly friendly.
I got used to the school quickly thanks to everyone at Westminster Academy and I’m sure you will too.
There are differences between primary and secondary school. When you look around you everyone and everything is big, which makes you feel grown up. At primary school you rely on other people but at secondary school you do most things by yourself.
My favourite lessons are maths, science, dance, Spanish and English. At Westminster Academy we have many opportunities so if you ever want to do something, tell your teacher and they will try to find a way to support you to do that. Year 7s get to experience many things, such as reward trips like ice skating and the cinema plus Outward Bounds and the Kingswood residential. We get the chance to do things which you can’t do every day; it’s lots of fun!
