WA Admissions Policy

Westminster Academy is a non-selective academy and IB World School.

We are delighted to welcome prospective families to the school. Our supportive staff is dedicated to making the transition process as smooth as possible for students and their families.

Year 6 Applications (for Year 7 the following year)

Year 6 applications to Westminster Academy must be made via the Pan London e-admissions system. The deadline for Year 7 admissions for September 2024 entry has now passed. Please visit Westminster City Council’s secondary admissions pages here for more information.

Supporting the Year 6 to Year 7 Transition

The most valuable and effective part of our transition programme for new Year 7 students is our annual "Welcome to WA!" Orientation Programme.

For basic information about uniform and a guide for new students, please visit our Parents and Carers page.

Key dates regarding admissions and transition 2023-2024:

  • ApplicationFood activity at Open Evenings online via Pan-London e-admissions (deadline: 31st October 2023)

  • Applications administered by the council November 2023 - February 2024. (There is no additional form required for WA. Criteria: Looked After Children; exceptional need; siblings; distance.)

  • National Offer Day: 1st March 2024

  • Year 6 Welcome Evening for successful applicants in March 2024

  • Year Information Evening in June 2024

  • Year 6 Induction Day in July 2024

  • Year 7 "Welcome to WA!" Summer Camp - end of August 2024

  • Year 7 Residential in autumn 2024
