Keys Stages 3 and 4 Admissions (Years 7-11)

Westminster Academy is a non-selective academy and IB World School.

We are delighted to welcome prospective families to the school. Our supportive staff is dedicated to making the transition process as smooth as possible for students and their families.

Year 6 Applications (for Year 7 the following year)

Year 6 applications to Westminster Academy must be made via the Pan London e-admissions system. The deadline for Year 7 admissions for September 2027 entry is 31st October. Please visit Westminster City Council’s secondary admissions pages here for more information.

Open Days 2026

We warmly invite prospective families to visit us to tour the building, hear a talk from our Principal, and find out more about being a student at WA during our Open Days. We offer two types of event. Our Open Evening takes place after the school day and as such is more interactive for students, and allows more time for families to chat to staff and students. Open Mornings take place during a normal, working school day, giving you the opportunity to see a typical school morning in action.

Thank you for visiting us on our Open Morning in July. Our next Open Days will take place on the following dates:

Open evening: Tuesday 29 September 2026 (4.30pm to 6.30pm)

Open mornings (9.45am to 10.50am):

  • Tuesday 22nd September 2026
  • Wednesday 7th October 2026
  • Thursday 15th October 2026

In-year Applications (Years 7-11)

Our in-year admissions are managed by Westminster City Council (WCC). If you are interested in a place at WA in Years 7-11, please complete the WCC in-year application form, which can be found here.

Supporting the Year 6 to Year 7 Transition

The most valuable and effective part of our transition programme for new Year 7 students is our annual "Welcome to WA!" Orientation Programme.

Key dates regarding admissions and transition 2026-2027:

  • ApplicationFood activity at Open Evenings online via Pan-London e-admissions (deadline: 31st October 2026)

  • Applications administered by the council November 2026 - February 2027. (There is no additional form required for WA. Criteria: Looked After Children; exceptional need; siblings; distance.)

  • National Offer Day: 1st March 2027

  • Year 6 Welcome Evening for successful applicants in March 2027

  • Year 6 Induction Day (students) and Information Evening (Parents/Carers): 7th July 2027

  • Year 7 team building - During the 2027-2028 academic year
