Consultation on proposal to change WA admission arrangements for 2028/29

Westminster Academy is proposing changes to its admissions arrangements for the academic year 2028-2029.

Proposed changes

Please note that the proposed changes include:

  • A reduction of the Published Admission Number (PAN) for entry into Year 7 from 180 students to 150 students, effective from 1 September 2028.
  • A Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) which accommodates up to six places designated for students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) of Visual Impairment (VI) or a clinical diagnosis requiring SRP support.

Timeline

The consultation period is from 1st October 2026 to 31st January 2027 (midnight).

Target intake affected: Year 7 entry in September 2028

Feedback

We welcome feedback from all interested parties. Comments, support, or objections regarding the proposed reduction in PAN must be submitted in writing by 31 January 2027.
