Back to NewsStudents' digital artwork exhibited with The Avenues
During the Easter break, The Avenues held an art exhibition for the community showcasing the artwork of students who were involved in a Mayor of London commissioned art project about identity.
The project was a 10-week digital art project led by artist Laji Sanusi who taught the students how to utilise the app Procreate. Students were given the task to choose an individual / role model who represents their personal identities. Students then learnt key skills, including mastering digital brush control, layer management and colour theory application.
The students involved were Elaf Ali, Year 10; Rayanne Hamilton, Year 10; Machi Papageorgiou, Year 13; Leena Khan, Year 10 and Shirin Andaloussi, Year 12.
We’re sure you’ll enjoy a glimpse of the artwork below. Vice Principal, Ms Carrier, said, “What incredible work on such an important theme.” Congratulations to all of our artists!
